How To Stop Ship Building?

I've read through the forums, studied the manuals, left & right clicked everyplace I could think of (my kitty ran away when I started clicking her tail, however), and even googled to no avail. How the hell does one STOP ship building? I cranked out two scouts and then decided that I wanted to wait. Well, I could not figure out how to stop. I'm sure there's a way, right?

just select the ship called "nothing".

I know for sure its there in the quick build list from the main map screen. dunno about if you zoom into planet and click build ship button

their is also an option in the game tab that lets you turn auto building of the same ship over and over off. i personally like it because if you want to keep building constructors or transports, etc, you dont have to micromanage building them.

Click on the planet that is building a ship and you should see a picture of it on the bottom. Then click on the build ship button below that image and scroll up to "build nothing". I also had a little problem with that in the begining and ended up with way more ships of a type i didnt want.

Or you could set military spending to 0% and not waste resources by building nothing.
